Hamann: Robertson is the best signing in Liverpool history.
Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has hailed Andrew Robertson as the best signing in the club’s history. After the News returned to show good form for the team again
The Reds signed Robbo from Hull City for just £7m in 2017 and it took a while to become the club’s main left-back since that season. Along with being an important part in helping the team to win big trophies such as the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League successfully
This season, despite a period of declining form along with poor team performance, Robertson was able to regain his place in the starting line-up later, with Hamann praising the younger players.
“Andy Robertson is one of Liverpool’s best signings and perhaps the best value deal. When he arrived I thought he would come as a substitute. But he can be one of the best left-backs in the world.”
“It has been signed a number of great contracts. But when you talk about spending the best money, Andy is the one to talk about,” Hamann said.
