Pep Guardiola has hailed Thomas Muller as one of the greatest players in football history and a “unique” one after becoming the club’s all-time appearance maker.

Muller played his 710th game for Bayern Munich in Sunday’s win over Freiburg in a new record for the Bavarian side.

“Not just because he has won trophies but also because he has played very well together.” But because he stays fully focused when the team needs him.”
Asked if the 34-year-old is being underestimated, Guardiola replied: “No. Fans all over the world know how important he is on the pitch. He’s brilliant, ufabet http://ufabet999.app he’s unpredictable and always knows where he belongs.” The Spaniard was also quizzed on his favourite moment with Muller.
“We were 2-1 down with a minute left in a Champions League game against Juventus in 2016. He scored an equaliser to take extra-time to win 4-2.
“The thing that impresses me most about Thomas is his humble celebration. When players score goals they run to celebrate with themselves. Thomas is different, I think because he’s so generous. He always wants to hug his team-mates after they score.”
